This board seems best for this.
So.
Who does?
Or, more accurately, who DOESN'T?
List your favourites, and let's have a discussion!
Mine are - Naruto, D.Gray Man, Bleach, FMA, xxxHolic, Tsubasa...
For now, at least.

I have FLCL, FMA, DeathNote, Beet (teh vandal buster), Shaman King, and One Piece as my favorites.
I truly hate any Americanized anime, such as the 4Kids One Piece and the Toonami Naruto (Believe it!)

Heh. The only manga I have would be Fruits Basket (Yes, it's that cute one where people turn into animals of the zodiac when they're hugged be someone of the opposite sex).
Anime I LOVE include: FMA, Bleach, Naruto, Gundam Seed, Gundam Seed Destiny, Eureka Seven. Ouran High School Host Club, Fruits Basket ... And others... MANY others.
I think that One Piece is going to be re-made by a WAY better company. The manga was really good for One Piece but the anime killed it. There wasn't any blood and the anime edited so much. (Yes, SoM, I've read the manga for One Piece.)

...El-Er, Akira.
You totally misunderstood what (Subject 1) and I were talking about. For one, it's the dub, not the anime itself. The anime is being re-dubbed, not remade. Way to mess up your terminology.
Anyways...
D.Gray-Man = Win.
Hikaru no Go, Shaman King, One Piece, Death Note Yu Yu Hakusho, Keroro Gunso (lolz, self-mocking comedy), Naruto, and various others are manga I enjoy.

Actually, not a mess of terminology. It turns out I fused the fact that DeathNote is going to be dubbed in English soon, and the fact that One Piece is going to be re-dubbed. MY BAD! And people generally watch the anime-dub in North America so I just said "anime"... hope my being general is okay, SoM.
I forgot to say InuYasha on my list... The series ending was terrible! The series itself wasn't so bad- it was a bit (a lot) on the long side and it had way too many filler episodes, but the concept was really good. You kind of forget why InuYasha is so bent on killing Naraku after a while, since he doesn't love Kikyo anymore... At least all the theme songs were awesome.

Fine. General phrasing accepted.
Inuyasha...
I was never a fan of Inuyasha. I dunno why, though.

Whee! Inu-Yasha... Is slightly dead. Too long, but I did like the concept... Episode 11111! Tessaiga's new attack and Kikyo's new Revival! Yeah. But I do love most manga/anime. My newest obsession is Ouran High School Host Club, on Youtube. <3 Heehee. SoM, do you like the D.Gray anime? Because if you do, no offence, but... It sucks. REAAAAAALLY bad. -headdesk- But I do love the manga. How far have you read? I don't want to spoil anything... I agree with Kasu on disliking Americanised anime... Naruto's 'believe it!' is almost as abused as, say... Nevermind. There is nothing so abused as "Believe it!" Deathnote is good. So is Fruits Basket. Have you finished the series, Akira? I only own six manga books... 2 xxxHolic, 2 Fruits Basket/Furuba, and 2 Samurai Champloo. Which, incidentally, is a good series. So how about that Jing? King of Bandits Jing?

D.Gray: I have dial-up, so no, unfortunately, I haven't seen the anime. The opening owns, though. As for the manga...Chapter 2. :D;;
Inuyasha: So true, so true.
Naruto: Actually, there is. "Dattebayo". :D
Samurai Champloo: I have heard quite a few good things about the anime and manga, and it looks quite stylised. Should I look into it, Natsuki?
King of Bandits Jing: I saw an ad for this in the Tokyopop Rising Stars of Manga volume 2...
It looks interesting, the style's pretty cool. Once again, should I invest in it?

Jing - YES. TOTALLY. The costumes and characters are amazing, and although the storyline is a little iffy, it's still amazing. Kir provides just enough quirk for him to be endearing and lovable... Jing is just <3333333... There is an anime. By the way, the website is - Samurai Champloo - it's pretty good, if a little random... I'd take a look or two. D.Gray - aaaaagh. I'm bursting to discuss latest chapters. -headdesk- Poor, poor -spoiler-.

I've read quite a bit of Fruits Basket, but I think I couldn't get my hands on anything after that part when Yuki whispers to Tohru that he loves her. My cousins have the entire series in french but too much effort on translating all of it. Has Fruits Basket finished yet? I remember watching the anime for it at one point on a DVD or something...

The anime follows a slightly different path than the manga, it should be noted, and ended quite a while ago. The manga is done in Japan at Volume 23, while the anime covers events up to volume 8.[/size]

I guess you could, you're bursting with excitement enough!
I can't seem to get my hands on the latest manga chapters in english. I'm too lazy to go to the bookstore to buy it, and too lazy to translate my cousin's french version. I'd ask my sis to simply tell me, but again, too lazy to waste time doing that... XD. You might as well spoil it. If no one else minds, although I doubt anyone else other than us girls reads Fruits Basket... except maybe SoM.

-rollflail- Yus. HOKAI SO. At the end - Kyo and Tohru get together. <3 That's just about all that I like about it.... That's how the curse is broken. Um... Kyo is supposed to be locked up because he didn't win the bet with Akito, but then Tohru finds out and so she goes to Akito, falls and stuff, so Kyo finds out he really does like-like Tohru, and then they hook up. The curse is broken, because Akito decides not to imprison Kyo or something... I don't remember this very well... OH. It'd because Kyo fell in love with Tohru and vice versa. So the curse was broken. Yuki, that fickle boy, hooks up with Machi... Because he sees Tohru as a mother figure that he's never had than a romantic prospect (ftw? O-o). Akito becomes friends with Tohru (you know Akito's a girl, right? Her mum raised her to be like a boy... Oh, and Shigure... Shigure looooves Akito, but got pissed because Akito chose Kureno instead of him, so as revenge, he slept with Ren, Akito's mother... Which is freaky.) The Pairings are - Akito with Shigure... Hiro with Kisa, Kureno with Uo-chan, Mitchan with Rit-cha-san, and Haru with Rin... Hatori with Mayu... I think that's it... Anything else you want to know?

WOW! He gets mad and sleeps with the women he loves's MOTHER?!! Messed up! Yeah, I knew that Akito was a woman... Everyone in the entire manga looks like a girl pretty much. The person who turns into a monkey (name?) totally looks like a girl, even it's a he (did that make sense?). The long hair, the women's clothing... The only thing he lacks is a-... well you know!

I can't remember his name! XD
Ayame is awesome though. And later in the series, Momijii becomes the coolest character- he's all hip and cool and stuff, despite his tragic past. I was watching the anime episode for that and I was just bawling my eyes out. I can't believe his mother didn't want him! ((... All this DOES happen to Momijii right? I forget XD))

Rit-chan-san! His name is really Ritsu, but it's more fun to call him this... Momiji looks AWESOME when he gets older! Yes, that's what happened to Momiji-kun... He gets to meet Momo, though... DeathNote is good. Have you seen the movie yet? L is straaaaaange. Sessha, i mean, this one, has been reading too much Rurouni Kenshin as of late. [[sessha is the term that rurouni and samurai use to refer to themselves ]]

Ahh... I see... Death Note is going to be dubbed soon!!! I'm SO excited. I read somewhere that the Ocean, Vancouver, (something) company is going to be dubbing the series. They're the same people who dubbed Inuyasha, so I'm expecting the Death Note dub to be really good. Inuyasha was pretty well dubbed, despite Kouga's terribly deep voice that makes him sound way older than what he really is. The Death Note movie looks good, and I'm hopig to see it soon, somewhere, possibly on YouTube or downloaded off some site on the Net. I saw a few little bits of it- Ryuk was really, really, really, creepy. The apple eating itself in the air was done really cool too. The Japanese actors are so funny; they actually vaguely resemble those in the manga! It's funny to see live actors portraying manga-ed characters.

Yeah... Ugh, Ryuku is just... Brrrrr. I really want to watch that movie! D< I dislike dubbed anime, I'm sorry... I just don't like it when they talk so fast in one scene and then talk really, really slowly...
It just kind of freaks me out. Subbed is fine. I just don't like it when they sub English stuff into any other language, or vice versa...

I agree, dubbed isn't good, but there's no other way that we'll get to see it on television... I don't wanna have to wait forever (Poor SoM with dial-up) to watch one episode on You-Tube or whatever with subs... At least with dubbed anime, then we don't have to download anime.
