I have spent... many... MANY hours... debating this particular topic with two others with their own opinions and I think it'd be great to have more than just 3 opinions on it. We're not all scientists... but heh it;s cool to just arg-... debate it out anyway....
I think the universe has an end, and that it keeps stretching on and on and on forever and ever.

There is a "end" to the universe... but it's constantly moving away. The universe is still being expanded by the energy of the Big Bang... at least, that's my theory.

But you see, the universe cannot end because, as we know, everything in the universe is in Space.
Space.
Space can never end! You see, we measure how far something is or how long something is by numbers. And, as we all know, numbers can never end. This means, that, as long as numbers, one of man's best flaws, exists, the universe can never end.
Same with time. There will never be an end of time because time, just as numbers are, is endless because we measure time with numbers.
As well! *breathes* Things can die and things can end, but the universe and time will not. Our life can end, Earth can end, but time and the universe... cannot.
I'm Panic and I approve this message.

... In my post i totally contradicted myself... What I actually meant to say was that I think that the universe has no end and that it just keeps going and going and going. But I don't believe in "alternate universe" thing... although they do make a great story...

Myess, my opinion...
Well, seeing as I did a speech on Anti-Matter, I find myself in believe of the concept of an Anti-Universe...And also in contemplation of the theory created by Michael Crichton in his book Timeline, where universes are spanned based on our choices...
For example, one where so-and-so died at this date, and another where so-and-so did something else and then died. Thus, it can not be counted, the number of universes in existence...
I also believe that the universe has no reachable limit, and continues to expand with every passing moment...
What it fills up, we may never know...
(( [/ultra dramatic-ness O:] ))

If the universe has no "...limit..." then how is it "...expanding" ~ unquote "SecretofMana"

This means that there is an endless amount of space between my hands and this keyboard...

*Sigh...* Ender... first of all, use proper grammar. That includes capitalization. Second of all, It wasn't my theory to begin with. Why not read the posts in the thread before saying something?

Anyway, if there is an end to the universe, how do you know when you've reached it? Is there a solid wall of some kind?
